The Philippine Competition Commission welcomes applications for its first-ever published job postings.

The PCC is a newly-created independent quasi-judicial body mandated to enforce and implement the Philippine Competition Act of R.A. 10667. The legislation highlights the government’s commitment to instituting market and economic reforms that promotes inclusive growth across the country.

The PCC is vested with a wide range of investigatory and enforcement powers, and even imposition of sanctions and penalties. The PCC may also examine markets which may not be working well by doing studies and investigations. It has powers to impose remedies when there are adverse effects. In addition, they promote and encourage competition-enhancing practices and challenging barriers to competition.

The Commission is looking for candidates with high-level experience or potential to gain aptitude in the said functions. The deadline of submission of applications for all posted positions is on June 1, 2016.
